Are you planning to apply for a Canada study visa? Well, if the answer is a yes you can jump up in joy. Continuing the string of updates and changes in the immigration process, IRCC has recently come up with a new set of rules for SDS Category (Study visa).
Canada Study Visa – New Rules
According to the new rules that will come into effect from April 30, 2019:
- Online filing – All SDS applications must be filed online. You cannot lodge the files offline for SDS category students.
- Upfront medical exam – the immigrant must go for a medical exam upfront, for which he or she must provide a piece of evidence while submitting the application.
- Processing in 20 days – the biggest news is that the case processing time will further be lowered down to 20days from the 45 days currently. Moreover, all cases will be processed at the Case Processing Centre – Edmonton in Canada.
These changes come ahead of the agency’s vision to further streamline the immigration process for study visa aspirants.
IRCC continues to surprise students and people with their changes in laws. However, this change comes as a pleasant surprise for Canada study visa aspirants. It not only eases off the process by bringing things completely online but at the same time reduces the processing time as well.
